Midas Document Management Services is a Northern Territory business that was established in 2016 and is based in theDarwin Region. We are a recognised Indigenous Business registered with the NT Indigenous Business Network (NTIBN)and Supply Nation (Australia) and are committed to employing local people, with a strong emphasis on providingindigenous employment opportunities. Our business provides a range of records and information management servicesthat ultimately result in improved governance and risk mitigation for our clients.

Digitisation and Indexing ServicesThis service is scanning documents and converting them to electronic format which results in approved accessibility,improved security and access controls and reduction in physical storage costs. Midas Docs own commercial gradescanners, that allow us to process large scale scanning jobs efficiently.

Archiving ServicesOur archiving services help organisations manage their files over time in accordance with their legal and administrativerequirements. Our archiving services include appraisal, sentencing, preparing consignment lists, lodging with secondarystorage providers and arranging for files to be destroyed appropriately.

Records Disposal SchedulesRecords Disposal Schedules are a legal requirement under the Information Act (NT) and provide direction on the retentionvalue of a range of information sets. Disposal Schedules assist organisations in understanding how long they need toretain their files with regards to legal, financial, historical and other administrative evidential requirements.

Business Classification SchemesA Business Classification Scheme (BCS) utilises hierarchical terminology, based on the analysis of business functions, tocreate controlled vocabulary and ensure consistency when classifying information. The BCS can be utilised by businessareas to set up folder structures, both physical and electronic, in share drives and workgroup systems to facilitatesearching, retrieval, disposal, security controls and reporting.
